Tips for Searching the Resource Hub

by Dan Murphy last modified 2008-01-14 12:07

Basic Search:

The hub includes five categories: people, institutions, resources, projects, and networks. Highlighting one of the five categories and entering key words will result in a search of the relevant data in the specified category.

To search all of categories, just type the relevant words into the search box without highlighting a category.

Advanced Search:

The “advanced search” feature allows users to search the hub according to the categories in our taxonomy. The taxonomy includes the following main sections:

1. Issues, such as air or water

2. Affected populations, such as children or migrants

3. Responses, such as awareness-raising or enforcement

4. Actors, such as NGOs or the media

Users can also search for overviews of Environment and Health issues by checking the appropriate box in the taxonomy.

Checking one or more boxes in the taxonomy list will produce a list of profiles which have been tagged with the indicted taxonomy terms.

Please email cehi@ssrc.org with any comments or suggestions for the hub.
